Ken Holt: Thots
Calling on influences of the late 60's and 70's with a fresh mix of today's pop music, Ken Holt's "Eye's Wide Open" has something for everyone. From the upbeat opening "Testimony" which has a "testifying" vibe to the last lick of "Here I Am, Lord" there is a certain amount of genuine emotion that lacks in today's music. If you are a fan of music, period, check out this record. And if you are not a fan of music....why are you reading this???

Thanks you so much for your heart and spirit and your music. I am loving every track. I actually forwarded “Where Have All the Flowers Gone” to a good friend of mine who has been engineering Peter, Paul and Mary since 1978. I think he will love your take on it.
“Can’t You Hear Me” is superb. Sat down last night and learned that descending chord change you do at the end.

Really amazing job Ken. And I know you didn't have the convenience of a big studio monitor and all the the latest greatest recording stuff. I am very proud of what you've done. And the artwork is fabulous too -the complete package. There's just so much in your music. I hope you are getting the accolades you deserve for this work. I also know just how long all the stuff takes to do. Labor of love for sure.

On a Saturday, our busiest day in the shop, we played Eyes Wide Open eight times in a row! One customer said, "I've never heard of him." I replied, "You will."

I've had the pleasure of playing with Ken on several occasions, and he never ceases to amaze me. He is a solid songwriter, good singer but Ken is seriously one of the best guitar players I have ever heard. He also lacks the ego that usually goes along with playing at that level Best of luck on your new CD, it hasn't been out of my CD player since I got it.

As always, I really like your lyrics; a reflection that your heart is in the right place.
